El carro de combate T-72 diseñado por UralVagonZavod, pronto se materializó en el prototipo conocido como Obiekt 172 y años mas tarde sería presentado como T72 “Урал”.
Armado con un cañón de 125mm, estaría llamado a ser la espina dorsal de las fuerzas acorazadas de la Unión Soviética entre los 70´s y 90´s, además de ser un éxito de exportación, fué producido en cinco países y ha participado en prácticamente todos los conflictos de Oriente Medio y actualmente es ampliamente usado en Siria.

Una cosa que llama la atención es que el vehículo trae tres torres para hacer las diferentes versiones que indica la caja, así que una vez elegida la que vamos a montar el resto queda como piezas extra para aprovechar en posteriores modelos.
