Irresistible, desde que la vi en la web de Eduard tenía claro una iba a caer en mis manos. El Tornado siempre ha sido un avión que me ha gustado y si Eduard la complementaba con resinas, fotograbados, máscaras y unas espectaculares hojas de calcas resistirse solo podía alargar la agonía.Así que en cuanto pude despejar la mesa, puse la caja sobre ella y a disfrutar con el contenido.El modelo es una Limited Edition de Eduard a 1/48. En este caso las grapas de plástico son de Revell y el molde es de 2014, ya tiene unos añitos. Eduard ha completado el kit tal como he dicho anteriormente con resinas, fotograbrados , máscaras y calcas.

Irresistible, since I saw it on Eduard’s website, it was clear to me that one was going to fall into my hands. The Tornado has always been a plane that I have liked and if Eduard complemented it with resins, photo-etched parts, masks and some spectacular decal sheets, resisting could only prolong the agony.So as soon as I could clear the table, I put the box on it and enjoy the content.The model is a Limited Edition of Eduard at 1/48. In this case, the plastic clips are from Revell and the mold is from 2014, it is already a few years old. Eduard has completed the kit as I have said before with resins, photoetched parts, masks and decals.
Una vez abres la caja, esta se ve rebosante de plástico y componentes. La apariencia no es tan pulcra como en otros kits ya que se ven marcas en las bolsas ocasionadas por las grapas en su apilado. Debido a que el plástico presenta un color gris bastante claro las fotografías se realizan sobre un tapete verde.
Once you open the box, it looks overflowing with plastic and components. The appearance is not as neat as in other kits since there are marks on the bags caused by the staples in their stacking. Because the plastic has a fairly light gray color, the photographs are taken on a green mat.
El kit incluye tres bolsas de plástico con varias grapas en el interior de cada una de ellas, una bolsa con plástico transparente, dos hojas de un tamaño aproximado de A4 con las calcas y los stencil, unos asientos eyectables de resina, un juego de ruedas de resina, fotograbados incluyendo el cockpit en color, mascaras para el pintado las partes transparentes y un completo libro de instrucciones con láminas de las siete decoraciones posibles.
The kit includes three plastic bags with various clips inside each one, a transparent plastic bag, two sheets of approximately A4 size with decals and stencils, resin ejection seats, a set of wheels resin, photo-etched parts including the color cockpit, masks for painting the transparent parts and a complete instruction book with plates of the seven possible decorations.
Habitualmente empezaría la revisión del kit por las piezas de plástico, pero no he conseguido resistirme a empezar por las calcas. Las calcas están fabricadas por Eduard y a parte de la espectacularidad que tienen se ven finas como un suspiro. Al ser posible “el pelado” la buena integración en la maqueta está garantizada y el “silvering” algo del pasado. Eso sí, va a requerir el manejo de estas con cuidado, pero el resultado va a valer la pena. Sinceramente espectaculares.
Usually I would start the review of the kit with the plastic parts, but I have not been able to resist starting with the decals. The decals are made by Eduard and apart from their spectacular appearance, they look thin as a breath. As “peeling” is possible, good integration into the model is guaranteed and “silvering” something of the past. Of course, it will require handling them carefully, but the result will be worth it. Honestly spectacular.
Ya que hemos comenzado el unboxing por los complementos vamos a seguir con los mismos, como resinas Eduard suministra dos asientos eyectables absolutamente detallados y un juego de ruedas. Están realizando en molde en vez de impresas. La calidad que se percibe es muy buena . En mi caso en el empaquetado han equivocado el número de ruedas y sobra una del tren delantero y falta una del trasero, una vez contactado con Eduard van a subsanar el problema, bien por ellos.
Since we have started the unboxing for the accessories we are going to continue with them, as resins Eduard supplies two fully detailed ejection seats and a set of wheels. They are making in mold instead of printed. The perceived quality is very good. In my case, the number of wheels was wrong in the packaging and one of the front axle is left over and one of the rear is missing. Once Eduard has been contacted, they will correct the problem, good for them.
Los últimos complementos incluidos por Eduard son unos fotograbados tanto para los interiores de la cabina como para ciertas partes de la tobera y detalles del fuselaje. Así como mascaras para los trasparentes de la cabina y ruedas.
The latest accessories included by Eduard are some photo-etched parts both for the interior of the cabin and for certain parts of the nozzle and details of the fuselage. As well as masks for the transparent cabin and wheels.
Una vez acabada la parte de los complementos de Eduard toca el turno al plástico de Revell. Sorprende el número de grapas por su cantidad, aunque el embolsado no se ve tan cuidado como en otras marcas. Las grapas se agrupan en cuatro bolsas, una de ellas para los transparentes. No se aprecian piezas sueltas, pero sí marcas en las propias bolsas.
Once the part of Eduard’s accessories is finished, it is the turn of Revell’s plastic. The number of staples is surprising for its quantity, although the bagging does not look as careful as in other brands. The staples are grouped in four bags, one of them for the transparent ones. There are no loose parts, but there are marks on the bags themselves.
Las dos primeras bolsas incluyen todas las partes principales del avión. El detalle parece bastante bueno, aunque en ciertas partes no se ve demasiado profundo, así que habrá que ser cuidadoso con la pintura.
The first two bags include all the major parts of the plane. The detail seems quite good, although in certain parts it does not look too deep, so you will have to be careful with the paint.
En cuanto a la calidad de la inyección, se dejan ver bastantes rebabas y el apilado provocado por compartir bolsa ha provocado alguna deformidad. Apartemente todo fácilmente subsanable.
Regarding the quality of the injection, there are quite a few burrs and the stacking caused by sharing a bag has caused some deformity. Apart from everything easily rectifiable.
La tercera bolsa se incluyen los depósitos externos, armamento y piecerio vario. Se aprecian menos rebabas que en las anteriores bolsas.
The third bag includes external tanks, weapons and miscellaneous items. Less burrs are appreciated than in the previous bags.
Los transparentes mantienen un buen detalle pero presentan algunas rozaduras superficiales y al menos en la unidad que recibí numerosas burbujas en la cúpula, lo cual es todo una pena.
The transparent ones maintain good detail but have some superficial scratches and at least in the unit that I received numerous bubbles in the dome, which is all a shame.
El kit nos presenta 7 decoraciones posibles, a cada cual más bonita. No suelo ser muy amigo de las decoraciones “especiales”, pero en este caso son espectaculares y la calidad de las calcas auguran mucha vistosidad. Hay cuatro decoraciones “especiales” y 3 “normales”. A mí personalmente la que más gusta es la “D”, no es la más llamativa pero realmente bonita y con bastantes posibilidades de Weathering.
The kit presents us with 7 possible decorations, each one more beautiful. I’m not usually very fond of “special” decorations, but in this case they are spectacular and the quality of the decals augurs a lot of showiness. There are four “special” and 3 “normal” decorations. Personally, the one I like the most is the “D”, it is not the most striking but it is really pretty and with many possibilities for Weathering.
CONCLUSIONES
Pese a que la calidad del plástico no esté a la altura de los complementos y de las decoraciones que propone Eduard, es una maqueta que tengo muchas ganas de empezar. Yo al menos le voy a dar una oportunidad y estoy casi seguro de que no me voy a arrepentir.
CONCLUSIONS
Despite the fact that the quality of the plastic is not up to the level of the accessories and decorations that Eduard proposes, it is a model that I really want to start. I’m at least going to give it a try and I’m pretty sure I won’t regret it.
